Private Lessons are the quickest way to learn your basics or to improve
your beginner or intermediate skills! If you want to learn how to dance
in a reasonable amount of time, privates will get you there faster.
When combined with group classes, private lessons can get you dancing
very quickly. It's important to do BOTH private lessons and group
classes. Neither one, done in isolation, offers the greatest benefit.
You will get an enormous amount out of each and every private that you
take, and the benefits will really help your dancing. They are certain
things that are just not covered in group classes - and you need
privates to just work on you.
Private Lessons cost $80 and they take place on many
nights of the week, and at locations throughout the San Francisco Bay
Area. The cost is for one or two people. For each additional person
after that, please add $25.

questions (where to go dancing, who to take classes from, etc.) get

How do I book a private?
Well, you can currently book introductory private lessons with any of our teachers
directly, using our form below. If you have already scheduled an introductory
lesson, please contact the teacher directly for all future privates, and
pricing. All you have to do is click on the associated "Buy Now" button,
and the simple process will start. Once you pay for a private (safe and
secure, online), you are emailed contact information for our instructors,
and they will contact you to schedule a private lesson.
We have specially prices Introductory lessons with
any of our teachers, which can be used for the first lesson (any
experience level). This allows you to try our teachers at a reduced
price (because we know you'll love them).

What You'll Be Getting
Everything you need to feel confident on the dance floor. The goal in
these classes is to get people to a point where they can have a good
time - able to dance with anyone, at any time, to any music.
We cover a lot of basic structure and technique -
centering on the details and fundamental lessons of salsa dancing (and
partner dancing)! Why details? The faster you get to a point where you
understand the basic techniques and fundamental structure of the dance,
the faster you can develop your own style. The goal is to be able to go
out there and have fun with anyone on the dance floor.
Style: Expressing Yourself Through the Music
We can certainly teach you our style and even someone else's style.
However, the goal is to get people to a point where they can develop
their own style. Style is a form of expression that comes from you.
Deep inside! The goal is to get you to a place where your individual
style comes out and looks good! This doesn't happen overnight. In fact,
to be honest, it can take years. However, from these lessons you will
learn all the skills necessary to build and grow yourself as a dancer
and you'll have a great time along the way!

Private Lessons FAQ
Do I really need private lessons?
I recommend everyone start with at least one group session! Yes, you
heard that right. If you want the greatest benefit, you do not need to
take a private to start dancing. Take a group class first, and start
learning some of the basics and the fundamentals. That way, you'll get
far more out of your private lessons. Don't substitute privates for
group classes! They work best together rather than individually. You'll
want to take your first private within your first 2 months of dancing
(before bad habits have a chance to develop).
How much, and how long, are Private Lessons?
Privates are $80 and last for 55 minutes to one hour. We now have
Introductory (first timer) lessons, with any of our teachers, at a
reduced rate! You can sign up for lessons, right on this page, by

Where to Private Lessons Take Place?
Either in our current dance studios, or at your home (+$20), you can schedule a lesson anytime.
What is Salsa, why do I want to learn it?
Salsa is the ultimate partner dance! Great clubs, great people, and great music. It's exciting, inspiring, and creative.
How do I choose a teacher? How do I know which teacher is best for what I want?
All of our teachers are excellent, and you can't really go wrong no
matter whom you choose! In addition, we offer special introductory
rates, so if you want to try a variety of our teachers, you can do so
at a reduced price, to find just the right teacher for you!
What is the SalsaCrazy Boot Camp(TM)?
If you want to learn and you haven't got time to spare, you'll follow
SalsaCrazy's basic "Salsa Boot Camp" Schedule. No, this is not an
actual program we offer, but rather, it's the process by which I find
students obtain the most benefit. It's a philosophy and a proven method
by which people progress the fastest. Use it as a guideline! It is:
At least 2 group lessons a week (with the same or different instructors) (~$10-$15 each)
2 private lessons a week ($80 each/1 hour)
2 night of dancing (minimum) - Very Important to reinforce all that you are learning
If available, at least one night of practice, each week, with a dance partner
