In San Francisco, SalsaCrazy Mondays was founded by Evan Margolin, a passionate salsa dancer and instructor. He wanted to create a weekly event that would bring together dancers of all levels to practice, socialize, and have fun. The first SalsaCrazy Mondays event took place at a local dance studio and quickly gained a massive following.
Over the years, SalsaCrazy Mondays moved around San Francisco, to many hotspots, including Roccapulco, Cafe Cocomo, Pick Ballroom, and event fitness and exercise studios, before it found it’s current home at the Neck of the Woods in San Francisco.
What few people know, is that over the years, SalsaCrazy Mondays expanded to other cities across the United States, with weekly events held in dance studios, clubs, and other venues. It was a movement. The events typically include dance lessons, social dancing, and sometimes performances by professional dancers.
The events have helped to foster a sense of community and camaraderie among dancers and have played a key role in popularizing salsa dancing as a social activity. It will change your whole life. There are countless friendships, endless relationships, and many, many marriages all beginning right here.
Overall, SalsaCrazy Mondays has left a lasting impact on the salsa dancing community, bringing together dancers from all walks of life and creating a vibrant and inclusive space for people to share their love of salsa dancing.
